OPTAS LTD is a Contract Analytical Laboratory and Consultancy Company that
has arisen out of the closure of Research & Development Laboratories within Johnson & Johnson at Ortho-Clinical
Diagnostics Ltd.
The company began operating around August 2000 as an independant Laboratory but was previously active within Johnson
and Johnson for over a decade and became recognised as one of the leading laboratories within the Johnson &
Johnson worldwide group of companies.
Over the years it has specialised in developing new analytical techniques and methods to enhance understanding
of processes, surfaces and materials in a wide area of applications both within R & D and Manufacturing. These
include, raw material issues, pharmaceutical analysis, biomaterial analysis, biomedical devices, protein adsorption,
surface treatment, surface analysis, polymer moulding, plasma modification, cleaning and sanitisation, cross contamination,
trouble shooting on manufacturing lines and QC failures, to name just a few.
Within Johnson & Johnson we built our reputation on the quality of our analytical service, both in expertise
and enthusiasm to solve problems and make new discoveries, as well as the rapid response of a dedicated team. Now,
